Winterfest Mug Walk: February 19 & 20
The Mug Walk returns this winter in the Historic District of Jim Thorpe. Join us for the Mug Walk this President’s Day weekend, February 19th & 20th, 2022. This fun, family-friendly event begins at the Mauch Chunk Opera House (14 W Broadway, Jim Thorpe) where you will pick up your official souvenir Jim Thorpe Mug, participant list, voucher and map. Show your voucher at our unique participating shops, and receive sweets, treats, novelties and special discounts. NEW this year is the opportunity to complete your Mug Walk over BOTH Saturday and Sunday. Relax and enjoy an entire additional day to visit the participating businesses! Or, purchase two or more trails and enjoy even more fun each day!
29th Annual Winterfest: February 19 & 20
For those who know historic Jim Thorpe, WinterFest is a great reason to get out of the house, celebrate winter and enjoy all this small town has to offer. For anyone who hasn’t yet experienced the wonder of this hidden, beautiful gem in the southern Pocono Mountains, it’s the perfect time to explore the kind of festivities Jim Thorpe is known for.
On Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 19 and 20, the 29th annual celebration will feature ice carvings and ice bars, live entertainment, indoor Kids Club, train rides, horse drawn carriage rides, food and drink specials, and of course the famous Mug Walk.
Love & Light Luminary Walk - A Lynn Highland Memorial: February 12
This year's luminary event is dedicated to our friend and neighbor Lynn Highland, who tragically lost her life in a house fire last year.
Bundle up with someone you love and stroll, shop, and dine along the beautiful candlelit streets of Jim Thorpe this Valentine's weekend. Luminaries will be placed leading from Josiah White Park (the train station) up both Broadway and Race Streets to the Opera House from 5-8pm. Don’t miss this one of a kind chance to enjoy all the unique food, drink, and shopping that Jim Thorpe has to offer in Victorian winter ambience and charm.
February Shows at the Mauch Chunk Opera House
The historic Mauch Chunk Opera House is one of America's oldest vaudeville theaters, in operation after more than 138 years.Today, the Mauch Chunk Opera House seats approximately 380, and is one of the northeast's premiere listening spaces and most intimate concert venues. All seats are close to the show, and, afterwards, we encourage you to stick around, enjoy the people and the space, and meet the artist after the show.

Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway: February Weekends
