The historic Mauch Chunk Opera House is one of America's oldest vaudeville theaters, in operation after more than 138 years. Today, the Mauch Chunk Opera House seats approximately 380, and is one of the northeast's premiere listening spaces and most intimate concert venues.

Coal Miner’s Heritage Festival (No.9 Mine)

SUNDAY, JULY 10, 2022 AT 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

15th Annual Coal Miners Heritage Festival on the grounds of the No. 9 Coal Mine and Museum in Lansford, PA. Free admission and free parking. Held rain or shine, this is their largest event of the year!


A celebration of our Anthracite Coal Region history, culture, ethnic foods, music, hand crafts, vendors, guided mine tours, art, historical exhibits, coal shoveling contest, historical reenactors, strolling folk musicians, children's entertainment, a large mining museum, coal region souvenirs, vintage vehicles, and more!
